Research 10- Stacy Shipp - "Fashion Bunny Photography"

These set of images, after seeing the more moody 'Rebel Rabbit', hit me as something cute, delicate and loving. They were very spring like and feminine, this was a different take and something I may experiment with. It did inspire me. How? Well it made me think about props and the colour contrasts/harmonising. Here we see that the pink of the dress matches the bunny's nose. It also made me think of location, if im doing very spring/Easter feel, I should go for bright days, fields with flowers.

The images:
The location for this image is a corn/wheat field. This was chosen for the link to spring and flowers blooming. It adds context and gives the viewer and the image a spring, warm feel. The orange/yellow background also contrasts with the pink and white outfit, which makes the viewer the main focus.
The model is looking into the camera, which gives direct address and the model is seen as confident and aware of the camera. The outfit and image is very stereotypical and matches the usual portrail of the easter bunny. This is something that inspires me, but also makes me want to do the opposite.
I'd prefer the images to have a unique, different spin.
The image inspires me to link the theme to the location and the model. It also inspires me to make the model seem unaffected by the camera and also to seem (over) confident?

This image has a different location of the forest, here you can see the trees and it makes the viewer think about a enclosure and hiding place. This adds to the fragile and sweet feel to the image.
The background colours, are very light, contrast with the models outfit. The model is holding a teddy bunny, which gives the model a sense of childhood and innocence, which again matches the usual portrail of Easter. There is a narrow depth of field, which focuses the viewer onto the model.
The models make up is very natural, which also fits in with innocence.
This image inspires me to make the whole of my image match by having one distinct theme, other than Easter.
For example, if i chose punk, Id use a leather jacket, a male model, headphones and some jeans. I would also choose a location that fit in, such as somewhere urban and simple.
